Editorial Standards
People make health‑adjacent decisions using what they read on this site — choosing a companion for a parent, understanding what companion care can and cannot do, or comparing it with home health care. That obligates us to a higher standard than marketing copy. This page explains it.
Named, accountable authorship
Care‑related content on palmatellc.com is written by the PalMate team under the direction of Maria Willingham, Founder & CEO of PalMate LLC (Frisco, Texas). We publish who is responsible for what we say — no anonymous advice.
Verifiable claims only
- Safety claims describe features that actually exist in the app (Guardian mode, panic button, Didit verification) — nothing aspirational presented as current.
- We name our screening vendor (Didit) rather than saying "fully vetted" in the abstract.
- Market pricing context cites published industry data for the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
- We publish no ratings, review counts, or testimonials that do not exist. When our store listings accumulate public reviews, we will quote them verbatim with attribution.
Clinical review
Content that touches medical topics (what companion care is and is not, Medicare coverage, hospital discharge) is being placed under review by a credentialed clinical reviewer — a registered nurse or certified geriatric care manager. Until that reviewer is publicly named on this page, we deliberately keep medical statements limited to widely documented facts and link to the comparison table rather than giving individual guidance. PalMate is not a medical provider, and nothing on this site is medical advice.
Update cadence
Pages carry a visible "Last updated" date. We review site content monthly and correct verified errors promptly. Found one? Email info@palmatellc.com with "Correction" in the subject line.
